Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the direct leader in daily store operations, schedule management, and execution of action plans to boost overall store performance. You will help develop the team through training opportunities and ensure adherence to company policies and cash control standards.

This role requires leadership, strong communication, and an ability to maintain store cleanliness, signage, and product freshness while supporting payroll and inventory goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• Prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports to improve performance.
• Model company values and foster teamwork among employees.
• Monitor competition and advise adjustments to maintain the store’s position.
• Provide product feedback on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Communicate weekly updates and major milestones to leadership.
• Ensure adherence to inventory, handling, and cash-control procedures.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment

Prior management experience preferred
