Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Clovis, NM, is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, merchandising, and customer service. You will learn each department, uphold policies, and help lead the team to meet store goals.

In this non-exempt, hourly role you will assume store duties in the Store Manager's absence, assist with scheduling, staffing, inventory, and promotional activities while delivering outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in footwear and athletic apparel preferred.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Help establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Take store responsibility in the Store Manager's absence.
• Train and evaluate store personnel; guide employees and customers as needed.
• Ensure inventory, sales statistics, and expenses support profitability.
• Direct staff to meet departmental standards and keep the Manager informed on trends.
