Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise store associates to maintain a high‑performing environment.

The role includes opening/closing duties, assisting with inventory, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming store for customers and staff alike. This is a full-time position based in Greenville, SC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise transfer from delivery to stockroom and sales floor as needed and ensure the seasonal areas of the store are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and manage receipts and deposits.
• Help supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
