Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, customer service, and team development. You will support daily store activities, assist customers, and ensure merchandising standards across the sales floor and stockroom.

In this role you will participate in opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and training store associates. You will help maintain a safe, friendly environment and report to the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Prior store management or supervisory experience in retail/supermarkets/drug stores preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal displays.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
