Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, supervise team members, and drive customer service excellence. You will assist with merchandising, training, and maintaining stock levels while ensuring a safe, clean shopping environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to handle responsibilities such as opening/closing, inventory, and in-store customer support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Maintain store areas and stockroom; ensure seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Manage merchandise flow from delivery to stockroom to floor.
• Support in ordering merchandise and loss prevention activities.
• Train and develop Store Associates and supervise Store Managers team.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety across the store and protect assets.
