Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Blandon, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and develop the team.

You will assist with daily functions, merchandising, scheduling, opening/closing, and adherence to corporate directives while ensuring a safe, friendly shopping experience for customers. If you bring strong communication, physical stamina, and a hands-on leadership style, you will help drive sales and maintain store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and demonstrate problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts), and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store areas are clean and presentable; perform cleaning and restocking as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
