Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Blandon, PA. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure the store runs smoothly.

The role involves organizing merchandise, supervising associates, and maintaining a welcoming, safe environment. Responsibilities include opening/closing, payroll and scheduling tasks, and enforcing company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and the ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties as described.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Ensure adherence to policies and safety guidelines.
• Help supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep areas neat and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
