Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and organize merchandise from delivery to sales floor.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, following corporate directives, maintaining displays, assisting in ordering, and loss prevention. You will train and support store associates while ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized
• Protect company assets including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and store procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop store associates
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff
• Ensure store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
