Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Good judgment solving problems, making decisions, handling complaints, arbitrating disputes and resolving grievances.
• Desire and ability to lead and manage associates throughout multiple departments.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Accreditation as a Certified Food Safety Manager or progression toward it within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop store associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal, and disciplinary actions.
• Provide leadership and motivation reflecting our guiding principles and values.
• Maintain a customer-focused atmosphere with fast, friendly service.
• Control store funds and company assets.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and ensure safety standards.
• Comply with security, safety and food safety standards.
• Utilize reports and inventory, scheduling, ordering, and business information systems.
• Support achievement of store budgeted financial and operating results.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is unavailable.
• Assist the Store Manager with day-to-day operations.
• Model excellent customer service and adherence to company practices.
