Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a dedicated individual to support store operations under the Store Director, ensuring departments are staffed, trained, and financially managed. You will monitor purchasing, stocking, payroll, and expenses while upholding safety and cleanliness standards, and communicating corporate plans.

Your responsibilities include auditing areas, reviewing reports, budgeting, and training staff to perform department activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business Administration or related field.
• Three years of experience in a retail grocery environment with increasing levels of responsibility.
• One year of supervisory or lead role experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Proficient computer skills (email, spreadsheets, etc.).
• Accounting/Bookkeeping skills, ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.

Responsibilities

• Regular inspections of all areas, provide feedback to department managers.
• Review reports and take action as needed.
• Engage in financial planning including budgeting and payroll.
• Communicate with SpartanNash personnel and train others to perform department activities.
• Manage selection, scheduling, and supervision of staff.
• Greet customers and provide prompt and courteous service.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and customer-friendly department.
