Job summary

SpartanNash, part of the C&S Wholesale Grocers family, is seeking a store operations professional in Omaha, NE to support the Store Director and ensure all departments are staffed, trained, and operating efficiently.

You will monitor purchasing, stocking, selling, payroll and expenses while maintaining the store’s appearance, safety, and profitability. Expect leadership duties, training, scheduling, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent.
• Three years in retail grocery with increasing responsibility.
• One year in a supervisory/lead role, preferably retail.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Proficient computer skills (email, spreadsheets, etc).
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Accounting/Bookkeeping skills and financial analysis.
• Develop/manage budgets and delegate/direct/implement.
• Suggestive selling and knowledge of products.
• Detail oriented and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Regular inspections of all areas, providing feedback to department managers.
• Review reports, take action and communicate information as needed.
• Engage in financial planning including budgeting, staffing/payroll, facility maintenance and upgrading.
• Communicate and work with SpartanNash personnel.
• Train others to perform all department activities and functions.
• Manage the selection, scheduling, and supervision of others.
• Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, and customer-friendly department.
• Know differences in price, taste, preparation, use of products.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
