Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. seeks an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee store operations when the Manager on Duty.

You will open and close the store, supervise associates, ensure a friendly, easy-to-shop environment, maintain proper merchandise presentation, and uphold company standards in daily tasks. The role requires strong communication, customer service, and supervisory skills with a focus on safety, loss prevention, and efficient front-end operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and English fluency.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and POS software.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations commonly used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Ensure safety and security of the store and assist Loss Prevention.
• Train, coach, and develop Associates to uphold company standards.
• Collaborate with Store leadership to meet daily targets and service goals.
