Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Wilson, NC to help with daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will support opening and closing procedures and ensure a welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Responsibilities include organizing merchandise from delivery to sales floor, maintaining stockrooms, processing directives, and upholding store standards for cleanliness and safety. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform typical store physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all directives related to store activities and communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
