Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development in a retail setting. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, inventory flow, and staff guidance to ensure a smooth, friendly shopping experience.

This part-time Ohio position emphasizes safety, loss prevention, and compliant operation. You will train Store Associates, maintain store standards, and collaborate with leadership to meet performance goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and operational directives ability is required.
• Store management experience in retail is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as described.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and record keeping including payroll and scheduling.
• Maintain clean store areas and protect assets.
• Mentor Store Associates and support the Store Manager
