Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves merchandising, inventory, opening/closing duties, and enforcing company policies to maintain a safe, welcoming shopping environment.

The ideal candidate will have store management experience in retail or related settings, strong communication skills, and the ability to supervise and train store associates while upholding standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent movement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and train/develop Store Associates.
• Provide a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
