Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a store team of Task Associates and the Merchandise Manager, driving top-line sales growth while optimizing inventory and operations. The OM will model Ulta’s values, manage scheduling, and coach staff to deliver exceptional guest service.

The role requires 2–3+ years in retail management, a focus on accountability, and the ability to lead through complexity while maintaining compliance and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• 2-3+ years of fast-paced retail management experience
• Financial management: driving top-line sales, interpreting reporting data, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expenses
• Retail management: proven ability with monitoring inventory levels, operational excellence, service culture, and merchandising directives
• Leadership management: experience attracting, developing, and motivating top talent, adapting to change, and leading a team

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of accountability to meet store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, payroll, omni-channel, and shrink
• Drive profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth, and expense control
• Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to optimize schedules and productivity
• Review and react to financial and operational reporting and audits
• Lead makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales
• Maintain attendance and enforce Ulta Beauty attendance policy
• Establish professional vendor partnerships and execute store tasks with leadership
