Job summary

ALDI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help supervise daily store activities, improve performance, and develop the team. You will help manage schedules, training, inventory, merchandising, and customer service while upholding company standards.

The role starts at $26.00 per hour with a wage increase to $27.00 in the second year. Requires at least a high school diploma and retail supervisory experience. This is a full-time, on-site position with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a retail environment or similar supervisory experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
• Ability to lead a small team and manage daily store operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establish clear responsibilities and performance expectations for team members.
• Identify training opportunities to improve team performance.
• Model company values and maintain teamwork.
• Monitor competitive environment and adjust operations accordingly.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Ensure compliance with inventory, cash handling, and store policies.
• Resolve customer concerns in the leader's absence.
• Maintain store cleanliness and signage; manage stock and merchandising.
• Oversee payroll, shrink, and training of new staff.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and escalate issues as needed.
