Job summary

Goodwill Omaha is seeking a Lead Retail Store Generalist to support store management in training and motivating staff, meeting performance and safety standards, and protecting company assets in a busy Omaha location.

You will supervise daily operations, greet customers and donors, open/close the store, manage cash, oversee inventory, and ensure safe, clean, compliant conditions while promoting the organization's mission.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• Three months retail experience required.
• Supervisory or team lead experience preferred (scheduling, delegation).
• Flexible hours to meet store operational needs.
• Knowledge of cash handling and POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers and donors professionally.
• Open/close store following procedures; act as Manager on Duty as needed.
• Conduct daily breakdown audits and cash handling tasks.
• Authorize store discounts per agency standards.
• Provide on-the-job training and onboarding for staff.
• Oversee inventory control for new goods and lines.
• Maintain a safe, clean store and proper use of equipment.
• Document safety incidents and support program operations.
• Lead a positive work environment and meet attendance goals.
