Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Bloomfield Hills, MI. The role involves assisting with daily store functions, merchandising, and staff supervision to ensure a safe and welcoming shopping experience.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (or equivalent), store management experience in retail or similar environments, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions or concerns in a positive manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged items.
• Maintain stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect company assets including cash.
• Supervise and train store associates.
• Ensure a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff.
• Keep bathrooms clean and restocked; manage trash and cleanliness.
• Other duties as assigned.
