Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Holly, MI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist in opening and closing procedures, organize merchandise, and support the Store Manager in training and supervising associates.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, retail or store-management experience, and strong communication skills to provide a positive, safe shopping environment while meeting company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred
• Retail/store-management experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a friendly, approachable manner
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, and record-keeping
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom
• Protect store assets including cash
• Ensure policy compliance and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager train and develop store associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Keep bathrooms and store areas clean and presentable
• Other duties as assigned
