Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver strong customer service, and develop store team members in Saint Clair Shores, MI. The role involves merchandise flow, opening/closing duties, and adherence to company directives while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and store management experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Support customers with a positive, helpful attitude and address questions or concerns.
• Help merchandise flow from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and follow corporate directives.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, records including payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash and adhere to safety policies.
• Help store manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, and floors; handle trash as needed.
