Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Brighton, MI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, enhance customer service, and develop the team.

The role supports opening/closing procedures, merchandise placement, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention while ensuring a safe, clean, and inviting shopping environment. You will work closely with the Store Manager to train staff and drive performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support payroll, scheduling, and cash handling processes.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organize stockroom and sales floor.
• Help train and develop Store Associates and supervise as needed.
