Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Royal Oak, MI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with daily store functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and support the Store Manager in training and supervising associates.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and store-management experience; strong communication and problem-solving skills are a must.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to read and explain directives.
• Retail store management experience preferred in retail, grocery, or drug store.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties (standing, walking, etc.).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions/concerns.
• Organize/transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates with Store Manager.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
