Job summary

Central Valley is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to supervise store operations and drive sales by optimizing staff productivity and aligning objectives with company goals. The role includes controlling inventory, managing transfers, and leading training initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in retail supervision, strong merchandising experience, and proven ability to coach staff, manage schedules, and ensure loss prevention practices are followed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervisory experience in a retail environment.
• 3+ years inventory control experience.
• 5+ years of merchandising experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs product replenishment and ensures 100% accuracy in product placement.
• Manages store transfer process to meet deadlines for pulling and building customer orders and inter-store transfers.
• Supports receiving to assist accuracy and productivity across the process (received, sorted, staged).
• Works with inventory control on counts, zero scans, and investigations to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Assesses productivity metrics and resources to meet business needs.
• Creates work schedules for reporting employees.
• Tracks employees’ time in Paylocity.
• Coaches and guides performance and ensures accountability.
• Addresses employee concerns and escalates when needed.
• Performs one-on-one coaching with the supervisor and leads training of employees.
• Disperses cash for registers and prepares drops for bank deposits.
• Opens and closes the facility and manages loss prevention and safety during shifts.
