Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of previous sales experience or equivalent, including six months in a lead sales associate capacity.
• Basic math ability.
• Familiarity with Goodwill Central Coast policies and procedures (on-the-job learning possible).

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations in the Store Manager’s absence and ensure staff deliver customer service per procedures.
• Guide staff on sales questions and inform management of personnel issues.
• Provide input on staff performance appraisals and coaching.
• Greet customers, assist with product selections, and process transactions with cash handling procedures.
• Perform opening/closing procedures and maintain a neat, safe store environment.
• Place and display inventory to maximize sales and assist with stock rotation and markdowns.
• Prepare donations and rotated merchandise for transfer to central processing; identify items for ecommerce.
