Applegreen USA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager run daily operations at our fast-paced travel plaza locations. You will lead shifts, coach staff, and ensure excellent customer service while maintaining brand standards and efficient cash handling.

The role offers opportunities to develop essential management skills, with a focus on teamwork, performance feedback, and maintaining high store performance under dynamic conditions.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced food service or quick-service environment.
• Strong customer service orientation with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and coach teams to meet goals and standards.
• Comfort with coaching shifts, scheduling, and performance feedback.
• Capable of quick, effective problem solving and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in day-to-day store operations and leadership.
• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management staff, assign tasks, and coach shift supervisors.
• Step in for the GM when needed and maintain store performance.
• Motivate staff during low morale and ensure brand standards are met.
• Enforce policies, procedures, and cash handling with daily reporting.
• Manage inventory checks and ensure customer needs are met.
