Applegreen seeks an Assistant General Manager to help run day-to-day operations and learn essential management skills. This role offers growth for entry-level managers while ensuring smooth service delivery across the location.

You will lead a team, uphold brand standards, manage customer interactions, and support a fast-paced travel plaza environment with a focus on hospitality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Leadership and management skills with a proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and a positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day supervision of non-management associates, assign work, coach, and develop shift supervisors.
• Ability to perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion and ensure policies are followed.
• Maintain awareness of brand standards and ensure procedures maximize brand/landlord/labor relations.
• Keep restaurant clean, inviting, and aligned with brand standards.
• Ensure cash management is accurate and daily reports are delivered.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Perform spot inventory counts to keep inventory data accurate.
