Job summary

Belk is seeking an Operations Team Lead to drive sales and deliver a positive customer experience by efficiently processing inbound deliveries and preparing outbound shipments. The role reports to store leadership and collaborates with merchandising, omni, and selling teams to meet store objectives.

The position is hourly with eligibility for a monthly bonus. You will lead the team in inventory accuracy, facilities processes, and associate development while ensuring excellent customer service

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must regularly move around store areas and assist customers.
• Must lift 40 lbs and push/pull up to 500 lbs of receiving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead team to achieve store objectives and key metrics.
• Execute store shipment deliveries and optimize product processing for productivity.
• Communicate daily goals and critical tasks to the team.
• Plan inbound/outbound activities using shipment systems and weekly leadership meetings.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, manage transfers, and process damaged items promptly.
• Monitor supply usage and place replenishment orders to sustain store needs.
• Adapt to changing conditions and reallocate resources as needed.
• Support onboarding and continuous learning for associates.
• Foster a positive culture and recognize team achievements.
• Assist in delivering excellent customer service during peak periods.
