Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a store supervisor to assist the store manager in day-to-day operations and staff leadership. You will ensure top-notch customer service, maintain merchandising standards, and drive sales while controlling inventory and shrink.

You'll train and motivate the team, assign duties, and prepare reports. This role requires 2–4 years of retail experience, a professional appearance, and strong communication across all levels.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years related experience or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of retail operations and shrink reduction plans.
• Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates

Responsibilities

• Supervises sales floor, providing high-quality customer service and maintaining merchandising and cleanliness standards.
• Ensures inventory, and shrink goals are achieved.
• Ensures that staff is fully trained and has a full knowledge of all products.
• Ensures sales floor is fully stocked and that merchandise and visual standards are being upheld.
• Works with store manager to develop creative plans to increase store sales.
• Maintains a high level of customer service by ensuring that merchandising/recovery is completed and that register and customer service area is processing customers in a timely manner.
• Trains, supervises, motivates, and develops staff.
• Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures.
• Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
• Supervises the unloading of trucks, sorting of merchandise, stocking shelves, ticketing merchandise, and the reconciliation of all cash and inventory transactions.
• Prepares all required reports and paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
