Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily operations at our Pembroke, NC location. You will hire, train, and develop associates while driving sales, service and safety standards in alignment with our Guiding Principles and Strategy.

This role requires strong knowledge of store operations, budgeting, and performance management. You will act as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is absent and ensure top-tier customer service and compliance with all policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Good judgment solving problems, making decisions, handling complaints, arbitrating disputes and resolving grievances.
• Desire and ability to lead and manage associates throughout multiple departments.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or will be required to attend company provided training and have the ability to achieve accreditation within the first 90 days of employment.

• Assist with day-to-day store operations.
• Maintain confidentiality of store information.
• Complete CBT and training courses.
• Adhere to company guidelines and standard practices.
• Ensure staffing across departments meets business needs.
