Job summary

Food Lion in Cary, NC is seeking a Store Manager to support store operations, drive financial and sales goals, and build strong associate and customer relations. You will promote a culture aligned with Food Lion's Guiding Principles and ensure safety, security, and food safety standards across the store.

As Store Manager on Duty when needed, you will lead through coaching, performance management, and ensuring excellent customer service while safeguarding company assets and ensuring policy

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position and age requirements; Certified Food Safety Manager accreditation or training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop store associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary actions.
• Provide leadership to promote our Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast and easy service.
• Ensure proper control of all store funds and assets.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when Store Manager is absent; assist day-to-day operations.
