Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team and help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and work to maintain a clean, organized sales floor.

You will support opening and closing procedures, supervise store associates, and ensure a positive, safe environment while delivering friendly service to customers. This role offers opportunities for growth within a values-driven retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain store records including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Ensure a clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment with professional customer interactions.
• Ensure store cleanliness and adherence to safety guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
