Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the team. You will assist with opening and closing, organize merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and ensure the store looks inviting and well stocked.

You will support the Store Manager with scheduling, payroll, and loss prevention, while maintaining a safe, compliant, and friendly environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and stand/walk frequently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supervise and develop store associates.
• Protect company assets and support loss prevention.
• Follow policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
• Support the Store Manager and promote a positive team environment.
