Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics, etc.) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide friendly customer service and address questions or concerns customers may have.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts; support loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash; enforce safety policies.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment; professional interactions with customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness of the store, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
