Job summary

Family Dollar seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is organized and maintained to company standards.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work in a high-energy team environment, and adherence to store policies and safety guidelines. You will participate in training and supervising Store Associates to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to interpret operational directives and store policies.
• Experience in retail or grocery environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise and transfers from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged items, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
