Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Spring, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.

You will participate in opening and closing procedures, process directives, supervise and train Store Associates, and help maintain a safe, clean, and inviting shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform related physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked and organized store and stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies, safety guidelines, and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
