Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development at our Austin location. You will assist with opening and closing procedures, merchandise flow, and ensuring store standards are met to deliver a positive shopping experience.

Ideal candidates have high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication and organizational skills, and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain store areas to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store and restrooms.
