Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development across all store functions.

You will assist with daily tasks, organize merchandise from delivery to sales floor, supervise opening and closing procedures, protect assets, and help train and develop store associates, while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling).

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash and loss prevention.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Create a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and team members.
