Job summary

Family Dollar in Greeley, CO seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, serve customers, and develop team members. You will supervise opening/closing, merchandising, and staff training while ensuring policy compliance and a clean, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include organizing deliveries, maintaining accurate records, handling cash deposits, and protecting assets. The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; read and explain directives.
• Experience in store management in retail, grocery, or drug stores preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional front-end fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and record keeping.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas per company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Ensure safety policies are followed by associates.
• Help supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Provide a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep bathrooms clean and store neat and presentable.
