Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast paced retail environment.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise movement, and enforcing company policies while supervising junior staff and maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming store conditions. The role emphasizes loss prevention, payroll accuracy, and strong communication with leadership.

• Assist with store functions and day‑to‑day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for store prominence
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, payroll records, scheduling, and cash deposits
• Keep store areas well‑stocked and organized to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures
• Support Store Manager in supervising and training Store Associates
• Create a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms, floors, and trash
• Other duties as assigned
