Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will assist with day-to-day functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure payroll and scheduling were properly handled. The role requires leadership in a high-energy team and a commitment to a clean, safe store. Full-time, on-site in Fairburn, GA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and storefront fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash receipts.
• Maintain a clean, stocked store and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and ensure policy compliance.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment and ensure customer, associate, and leader interactions remain professional.
• Keep bathrooms and floors clean and restocked.
• Other duties as assigned.
