Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a customer-first store, supervise staff, and manage merchandise and deposits. You will perform stocking, cashiering, and reporting duties to maximize profitability and minimize losses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and cash handling abilities are expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register to itemize purchases.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, and safety meetings.
• Manage merchandise flow, stocking, rotation, and planograms under Store Manager guidance.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, control damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Ensure cash handling integrity, deposits, refunds, and overrides with cashier accountability.
• Assist in store operations in the Store Manager’s absence.
