Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to maintain a clean, customer-first store while helping supervise staff, merchandize, and paperwork. The role includes deposits, cashier accountability, and supporting the Store Manager in their absence.

Key duties involve scheduling, training, safe procedures, and ensuring planograms are followed; high emphasis on customer service and profitability with asset protection. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• One year of retail experience and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise, including receiving, unpacking, stocking, restocking and building displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
• Assist with planograms and merchandise presentation according to established practices.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability, cash control procedures, refunds and deposits; count tills and deposit money.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
