Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, merchandise flow, and training of store associates, while upholding company policies and maintaining a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff.

The role requires strong communication skills, physical stamina, and a hands-on approach in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain attractive displays and promotional materials.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention tasks.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store floors and stockrooms; protect store assets.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed and safety guidelines are upheld.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
