Job summary

Food Lion in Lincolnton, NC seeks an experienced Store Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales, and develop a high-performing team. You will oversee staffing, training, security, and adherence to food safety standards while delivering outstanding customer service.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will coach associates, manage budgets, and ensure store performance meets financial goals in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Good judgment in problem solving and decision making.
• Ability to lead associates across multiple departments.
• Must meet physical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Must be accredited or obtain Certified Food Safety Manager within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Hiring, training, and developing associates.
• Manage performance through coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Provide leadership to promote our Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Maintain enthusiastic customer service.
• Ensure proper control of store funds and assets.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions.
• Ensure compliance with security, safety, and food safety standards.
• Understand and use company tools (reports, ACIS, scheduling, CAO, BIS).
• Support achievement of store budgeted financial and operating results.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when Store Manager is not present.
• Assist the Store Manager with day-to-day operations.
• Model for customer service and instill this value in associates.
• Adhere to company guidelines and standard practices.
• Manage and develop associates to follow standards.
• Maximize sales through excellent customer service and minimize shrink.
• Ensure store conditions meet policies and regulatory requirements.
• Staffing schedules across departments meet business needs.
• Complete CBT and Training Aids courses.
• Treat all store information as confidential.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
