Job summary

SpartanNash in Marshall, MI is seeking a capable department operations lead to manage daily activities in the store’s department. You will train associates, ensure staffing, and meet company KPIs while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include inventory control, reviewing orders, supervising stocking and production tasks, communicating plans, and supporting scheduling and payroll control. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
0-2 years of retail experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.
Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills.
Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day department operations in a retail store.
Order and maintain inventory to ensure freshness and quality.
Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, count and weight.
Supervise stocking, production, and related tasks to ensure quality and accuracy.
Ensure all safety, food safety and cleaning guidelines are followed.
