Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Store Manager on Duty/Operations leader in New Jersey. You will oversee daily store operations, train crew members, and ensure outstanding customer service.

You will manage opening/closing, cash handling, and security, while driving sales and sustaining a high-energy environment. The role requires at least 1 year of management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members are WOWing the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience.
• Oversee daily activities of all store associates to ensure duties are performed effectively.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for floor placement.
• Act as Manager on Duty when needed, handling store operations and staff management.
• Manage opening/closing processes, cash handling, alarms, and daily operations.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising and customer service.
• Partner with store leadership on merchandising procedures and special initiatives.
• Perform store maintenance and general housekeeping.
