Job summary

Family Dollar in McKees Rocks, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee day-to-day store activities, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, and payroll/schedule duties while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and leadership skills, with experience in retail management preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Support customers with a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures, displays, and stockroom organization.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Ensure store areas are clean, safe, and presentable.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a respectful and professional environment for customers and staff.
