Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Steelton, PA. You will assist the Store Manager with daily activities, training, and ensuring store standards.

You should have strong communication and leadership skills, withStore management experience in retail preferred; the role includes opening/closing procedures, staffing, and maintaining an inviting, safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and stand/walk frequently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and handling damaged goods.
• Train and develop store associates.
• Ensure clean, safe store environment and policy adherence.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
