Job summary

C-A-L Stores Companies Inc is seeking a Manager-on-Duty to oversee daily store operations and support the Store Manager in delivering excellent customer service. You will guide staff, manage schedules, and ensure smooth opening and closing procedures.

The role focuses on maximizing sales and profitability through effective merchandising, inventory control, payroll budgeting, cost management, and shrinkage reduction, while ensuring security and compliance and stepping in for the Store Manager as

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a retail environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with POS systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiar with reading and understanding industry and financial reports.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sales promotions and merchandise displays and signage.
• Recruit, train, and assess staff performance.
• Plan and prepare work schedules to assign duties.
• Monitor and reorder merchandise to replenish stock.
• Ensure compliance with security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures.
• Address and resolve customer complaints or inquiries.
• Open and close the store and manage related duties.
• Manage payroll budget and fiscal responsibilities.
